First stair tread looks great – 200 year old Canadian Honeydew maple strips reclaimed from a silk factory.

The last two bird nesting boxes for swifts built in and curving roof completed.

Two bird boxes built in today for black redstarts and sparrows – sociable creatures.

Carpenters have made bat box in the curving wall, facing north so sunshine won’t wake up bats in the day.
