New section!

You can’t replicate this design: it has been created for a very specific niche, re-using an existing building. But its principles and its components are important for anybody working on a low-carbon house, particularly in the UK

From today we will be adding design notes to the site to

• stimulate ideas for architects and other professionals working on zero carbon designs everywhere
• help builders and DIYers who need information on specific components to help upgrade the energy status of an existing building
• contribute to the debate on the best way forward to 2016, when Level 6 of the The Code becomes mandatory in the UK.

Comments and questions are welcome, including information about other relevant products and designs. The site is not sponsored by any manufacturer and the mention of a product which has been specified for the house does not necessarily imply it is the best available for the purpose!
