  • The bathroom door is fitted; it glides away into a secret pocket in the wall. #
  • Stuart is fixing the last blocks of 280mm Neopor insulation, now frameless glass is all in. BBC want to film. #
  • Taps being fitted now. In the kitchen we have a special spray tap with harvested rainwater for scrubbing carrots etc. #
  • Template taken for kitchen worktops today, Bottle Alley is 100% recycled English glass, greeny white with bubbles… #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2009-10-16

  • Grouting our tiled basin splashbacks – using small smooth grey/white pebbles instead of tiles. #
  • Eddie is refitting the maple stairs, open tread with a beautifully crisp 6mm routed anti-slip groove. #
  • All remaining frameless glass fitted at last – delay as it broke before reaching us three times. No fault of our wonderful builders! #
  • Sweet chestnut laths outer skin now racing away over the frameless glass we were waiting for. #
  • Bath is fitted, grey water waste goes to a reclaimed oak barrel for watering the garden. #
